self navigation.
Hey friend,
Ultimately, the essence of what I am writing about is navigation.
The ability to navigate life for yourself.
So whether life is beautiful & exciting, or tragic & uncertain, that you will always be your first point of call.
That you will be able to navigate the depths of life, all by yourself, without the constant need to look & seek out some external authority that you believe possesses something that you do not.
To not need to constantly look in books. Or book sessions with a coach or therapist. All to tell you what you already know.
Self navigation. The ability to navigate yourself, and life, for yourself.
In self navigation, the most important skill, is discernment.
The ability to be able to discern what is truly going on in you.
The ability to discern your feelings.
And truly see what is going on.
If you are unable to discern your feelings you will be led around in circles by them.
Learning to discern your feelings, from awarenesses that are here to guide you.
To be able to see, that when you choose to move into what is greater, chances are, its going to be very uncomfortable at the start.
Your body may feel as though you are standing on the edge of cliff- for a moment at least.
When you choose you for the first time, you may feel all sorts of things.
And you will need to be able to discern the difference between awarenesses here to guide you, and feelings that are ultimately just wanting comfort, to be soothed, and to return to what is familiar.
Most people will turn around, because they mistake their feelings for something that could guide them forward. And so they never go far into the unknown, they always regress when it begins to feel uncomfortable, because the unknown is unfamiliar and ultimately your feelings want what is familiar.
When you choose to go beyond where you have ever gone before, you will have to confront the part of you that just wants to stay where you are. That wants comfort, that wants the familiar. That wants to stay where you have always been.
You will need to be able to discern between this part, and the authentic part.
The ability to navigate you, is probably the most important skill you could ever learn. Few are teaching real self navigation.
