- An Education In The World

re: teachers
Hey friend,
I’ve been a little distracted from ideas of specific solutions around education, for the last few weeks.
It’s a balance of focusing on my own journey and also pondering the solutions that I would like to build.
I think that is something that is missed by most education.
I believe the purpose of teaching/sharing is an invitation to go deeper into the work yourself.
That the teacher should not teach for the benefit of the student, by for themselves- this is the only way they could ever help the student.
There’s a common idea in education of the “self-less“ teacher or coach, who puts aside their own dreams in order to support others live there’s.
Or the coach who says that their purpose is to help you find yours.
When in fact, the only way that you can help people, is in becoming the highest expression of what you are. That when you live a life of truth and meaning, it inadvertently invites all those around you into the same thing.
Self sacrifice serves nobody.
I am inspired by education. But thats because I have been inspired to empower myself. Not to serve others. And I believe thats the only way I can serve others. I’m interested in the ideas of education as far as they call me into a greater experience of life and myself.
We don’t need more people sacrificing their dreams to help others. That serves no one.
