re: religion
Hey friend,
Over the next few days I’m going to cover some of the biggest challenges of going on your own journey of self-led education, in the world.
The main challenge, that I will start with today is …
Letting go of all that you know.
It was Paul Dirac who said,
“It’s not that we don’t know so much. Its that we know so much that isn’t so“
If you desire to step into something new, something beyond what you have ever done or created before- it will require you to let go of what you previously held in high regard.
You could say- we all need to let go of our own religion.
Religion as in the thing that cannot be questioned. The god who dare not be challenged. The scripture that cannot be faulted. Because if it was- everything else would come crumbling down.
We all have a “religion “ that we have created in our little lives.
A list of beliefs that cannot be questioned. In regards to the world, and in regards to what it is that you are.
These (consciously or unconsciously held) beliefs are the things that stop us from moving forward.
What we believe to be true about money & value & exchange.
About your own self image & identity
About how you ought to spend your life.
All the things you were conditioned to believe in the traditional education programming factoring.
All the beliefs you inherited by default from your parents, from the local culture, from your friends.
If you wish to step forward into the unknown. Into living beyond what you have ever lived.
You must let go, of all that you know.
That is the biggest challenge.
More tomorrow.
