re: your life.

Hey friend,

I’m in online education.

Growth is the subject of my life. Personally and professionally.

And so I ask myself often the question of what it is that actually allows someone to grow.

You may have encountered the experience that…

You can’t make someone grow. You can’t force someone to receive something.

You can setup all the environmental factors. You can give them all the information required.

But it won’t be sustained. It will not last.

Because the thing that really allows someone to move forward is their ability to make a decision for themselves.

You can make someone buy a course, go to a retreat, read a book. They can show up and consume it all. But it is not until they make a decision, that anything can move.

A decision to let go of all that they think they know.

A decision to step into the unknown. Beyond what is comfortable. Beyond what is familiar. Beyond what has been normal up until now.

A decision to go beyond loneliness.

A decision to go into the depths of what they are.

When a decision is made, and is continued to be affirmed despite all that arises- and a lot will arise depending on the degree to the depths of what they are stepping into- thats when growth will occur.

It is not about traditional notions of time either.

But its about space. Space to receive something greater, something beyond what they know.

And the only way to create space, is to release

Its why many people may describe the experience of growth as a death. But in truth, releasing is one-half-part of the process of life itself.

It only feels like a death, if you resist it.

All of the growth, all the life awaits the person who has the courage to let go.

Of the need to be understood. Of the need to be affirmed & cheered on by others.

To let go of everything that has made the world real, up until now.

This made sound dramatic or over the top. But we aren’t just talking about making a little more money, having geographical freedom or losing 5kgs.

We are talking about stepping into the life that you were born to live.
