placebo
Hey friend,
The placebo effect is one of the most interesting things in “science“.
“The placebo effect is when a person's physical or mental health appears to improve after taking a placebo or 'dummy' treatment. Placebo is Latin for 'I will please' and refers to a treatment that appears real, but is designed to have no therapeutic benefit.“
Cambridge did a study that concluded there is no evidence that the benefits of psychotherapy are greater than those of placebo treatment.
Across many areas of health a placebo is effective 50-75% of the time.
You could call this interesting, unusual or otherwise.
Or you could take it as incredible evidence of something greater.
That perhaps you already have inside of yourself everything that you need.
That your own energy is more powerful than any drug
That the directing of your own attention to you could move anything inside of you.
That your own energy is capable of bringing to you, whatever it is that is required.
The implications of such an idea, are huge.
And perhaps too controversial to be explored to their full extent by mainstream science & psychology.
