Hey friend,
The modern education system is truly a training ground for a work place that no longer exists and will very soon be completely gone.
In the future- and as is already unfolding… everyone will be a business owner.
But not in a traditional sense.
Everyone won’t own a brand and not every will have their own product- (though increasingly more people will)
But the future of business will be independent contractors who collaborate with other highly trusted independent contractors on a project by project basis.
It’ll be like the gig economy (uber, fivver etc.) but for everything.
You see, the owner / employee dynamic is broken.
The owner has to become a hero and guarantee a wage and benefits etc. Which disempowers the employee who then takes less responsibility for their life and income and ultimately has to do what their told- because they never gain the courage or the skills to create something for themselves- where they would have more flexibility, unlimited earning potential and only need to take on the work that’s more meaningful to them.
But the current school & university system is still training for the old employee mindset- which will make it 100X times harder (near impossible for most) to move into this new way of work.
I’ve had 13 different full time staff over the last 5 years.
The ones that were able to move into this new way of work have made more money, have way more freedom and way more meaning in their work, since no longer being a “full time employee.“
Talk soon,
