why it hasn't worked.

Hey friend,

Here is what you may have tried to travel in an attempt (consciously or not) to step into something beyond- and why it hasn’t worked.

  • You've tried a 3 month solo backpacking trip or maybe even a gap year. But it didn’t work because you always had the intention to return back to the place and the person you were before you left. You got a taste of unknown, but returned back to the known. And so it fades and the trip becomes a fond memory instead of an invitation into a new life and way of being in the world. You end up more or less the same as all your peers who never left.

  • Maybe you studied abroad for a semester. But you were still in a traditional education environment, where there was the old programming and a limit to the boundaries that you can push. It’s exciting for a little while, but you end up living the same life in a different place. Same shit, different country.

  • Travelled with friends or a partner from home. But never got a big enough taste of solitude or the space to be apart from everything and receive all of your own attention, and to discover you apart from everyone else. You can get something from it no doubt. But you only ever scratch the surface and miss the real depth available to you.

The truth might be, that if you want to walk the path of your own creation…

To experience life, yourself and the world beyond what you have ever known…

Its not enough to dip your toes.

It’s not enough to get a taste.

It may require you to let go, of all that you think that you know.
