habits

Hey friend,

Life is about you.

Life is about your relationship to yourself.

It’s a common saying that people will lightly say “just be yourself“

As if that isn’t the greatest or hardest thing that you could ever do.

Now, we all appreciate the idea of creating a great relationship to ourselves, but are probably unsure about how to go about such a journey.

See, a relationship to you, is primarily a set of habits that you have with yourself. The hardest part about changing these habits is that they are unconscious.

Your habits of where your attention goes when the uncomfortable unknown presents itself.

Your habits of where your attention goes when you get an opportunity to go beyond where you have ever gone before.

Your habits of how you confront the difference between where you stand, and the places that you would like to go.

Its very hard to become aware of these habits without a trusted & wise friend who can see these things and gracefully bring them into your awareness.

These habits are hard to confront, because they require change.

And any information that invites change will first be rejected.

Information that allows you to move forward, will bring up the shit in your life.

It’s not just habits in regards to certain actions. But the habits around your habits. Of how you perform the habits. How you change them. Your relationship to the habits that don’t get done. Your habits in regards to all that arises when you decide to make change in your life.

To create a new relationship and therefore new habits with the way that you interact with yourself and life, takes a great amount of courage. And for the most part requires a greater level of information than what is being presented to people through mainstream personal development books, like atomic habits.
