grace
Hey friend,
For me, the greatest joys in life are the journey of mastery & creation.
To wake daily and walk towards the highest expression of my life and create something greater to leave behind.
And I’ve created a lot of the last couple of years.
But I just know there is so much more in me.
So, one thing I’m learning right now, is called grace.
My mate Jase says, grace is how you hold yourself after the expression.
After the creative act. After you do the thing you feel to do.
Grace, is how you hold yourself after this.
There was a study done on the similarities between ultra high net-worth individuals a few years ago. And they found surprisingly few things in common.
Some didn’t drink. Some were alcoholics.
Some looked after their health. Some were obese.
Some came from good homes. Some had terrible childhoods.
But what they did find was that the most financially successful in the modern world had 2 traits in common.
They believed they deserved it. They knew it belonged to them. They knew they had what it takes.
They have crippling insecurity and self doubt. And constantly feel as though they are not enough.
I’m only now beginning to witness in myself how much the judgement of my creative expression in business, in art, in the way I live and interact with the world- holds me back from creating more. From creating bigger. Seeing bigger possibilities for my life.
It’s so wired into us- so much so, it has almost become a prerequisite for success in the modern world.
This morning I’m pondering this..
How much more could we create
How much greater could we do
How much further could we go…
If we had more grace
Grace, is how you hold yourself after the expression.
