conversations with naval.

Hey friend,

Im currently in a beta of the latest version of a new app being developed by naval.

There are only about 50 or 60 of us in the current version. Mostly those in tech or education, or both.

Its incredible to be in an environment with great minds and i’ve met some amazing people, building amazing things.

I’ve got to have a bunch of conversations with naval on a range of topics from the development of new network-states, education, argentina etc.

Yesterday we were talking about the essence of creativity. And naval said,

“the core of my being is creativity“

“creativity is the ability to explain the seen, in terms of the unseen.“

Perhaps not the common words you would think a successful tech founder would be throwing around. But he’s got enough runs on the board that its worth taking notes.

See friend, the essence of creativity is to have the courage to take action on the subtleties of what only you can see.

To take action on the details, which to others may seem irrelevant or unimportant.

To move beyond the mind, and the intellect, or even science, which is always obsessed with explaining things from what can be seen or measured or currently understood in reference to information or data.

The very core of what it means to create, is to work with the unseen.

AI can do some amazing things, but it can’t explain the seen, in terms of the unseen.

To live a life beyond what you currently know, you will need to be able to take action on what only you can see.

To have the courage to do what others will not understand.

To take action without the need to justify it to the audience of others in your mind.

The frontier of education is beyond knowledge & information.

The frontier of education is coming to the understanding that very of core what you are, is creativity.

And receiving yourself at the artist or the artisan of your life.

To move beyond the common concepts of time, to create something you could call eternal.
