children & sages.

Hey friend,

They say you cannot change the world, you can only change yourself.

Or the Tao says, “the master is content to be an example“

Like many, I have been trained by the experiences in my life to try fix things, people, situations - despite much effort, recently, to not do so.

My friend Jase, one of the wisest people I know- shared with me the idea that we create all the problems in our life- to serve our very habit of solving problems- to feel “progress“ and to receive our very own attention & praise.

We are all consumed with many such habits that go against the nature of life itself. Which means we end up doing much more and receiving a lot less.

That’s why I believe if you weren’t just content to be an example (like me currently haha) and you wanted to make an active impact on the world- it would be most effective to start with young people and entrepreneurs…

Because for the most part- they are the only ones left asking questions.

The only ones questioning relentlessly “why?!” (even though that may be a fairly unproductive question)

It eventually leads to “how?“ & “what?“

Which are in an invitation into the unknown… an invitation into something BEYOND where we currently exist.

For the most part, young people & entrepreneurs are the only way, if we wish to release the old & step into the new.

And especially the children- because…

Most spend the first 40 years of their life doing damage. And the next 40 years trying to undo it.

So it’ll be a lot more productive to start before the damage (aka programming) is done.

Naval says to spend your time with geniuses, sages, child & books.

I think its a fair plan.

I’m currently here in Malta with my family for christmas. They moved here recently. I helped them go online (build a 7 figure online business) during covid so they can live anywhere and so decided to leave australia for a while.

I’m enjoying spending time with my siblings (I’m 1 of 7 kids).

The youngest 3 have a lot of good questions.

Talk soon friend,

- Jay
